Planet of the Sharks is a 2016 sci-fi action horror film directed by Mark Atkins (Evil Eyes; Sand Sharks; Awaken) from a screenplay co-written with Marc Gottlieb for production company The Asylum.

The film premiered on 27 July 2016 as part of the Syfy Channel’s Sharknado Week.

Main cast:

Alex Anlos, Brandon Auret (Tremors 5: Bloodlines), Stephanie Beran (Killer Party), Angie Teodora Dick and Lindsay Sullivan.

Plot:

In the near future, glacial melting has covered 98% of earth’s landmass. Sharks have flourished and now dominate the planet, operating as one massive school led by a mutated alpha shark…
